The
MDI Police have been rampant at MDI 2007 and overall they are
very impressed with your entries. Particularly with your entries' portraits!
Your
challenge for the semifinalist round is to continue what you started in round 1 in
your portrait! You are to doll the complete outfit your entry
is wearing in her portrait on a full body base (same base set as used in
Round 1) What is shown must remain exactly the same! This
includes Jewelry shown, style and colours used, any hat or head
piece. You may add additional jewelry and the the hair and make-up can be
different. Please follow the guidelines below in order to
maximize your round 2 scores.
-
outfit's colour, style, and pattern used, or any jewelry, hat or
hair piece shown in portrait must remain the same
-
hair style and make-up can change and you may add additional accessories
-
parts of the outfit not shown in the portrait can be of any
design and colours you choose
-
bonus will be given if you use inspirations from the entries'
country such as colours, patterns, styles, etc.
-
dress must be a cocktail or sun dress and must fall just below or above
the knees, and must not be too casual but suitable for a
semi-formal occasion.
-
stilettos are mandatory! purses or handbags etc. are
optional
-
the country and year of the entry must appear in a stylized
manner and slightly behind the doll (the country text must be
at least recognizable). Choose one colour for your text
(different shades can be used however), borders on text
are also allowed. No other background images allowed.
-
you will be penalized for not following the rules and for not
following your Round 1 Portrait as a guide. 1 point
deduction for each deviation in your portrait, taking in
consideration of the rules above.
-
Finally when submitting please send your country # (shown on round
2
entries) with your e-mail. Good
Luck to All!
Even
if your portrait outfit wasn't intended to be a cocktail dress, you
must somehow continue it in that direction.
I
hope this will be a challenge for everyone and fun at the same time.
I know some of you didn't put much into your portrait outfit so this
is your chance to be creative. Some of you went all out on the
portrait, so this is your chance to put it all together. And a
few of you didn't even think about a cocktail dress, so let's see
what you come up with, be creative!
